It feels like only a couple of months since we moved to Maryland, but already summer is ending and school is starting again. Today we did all over our “Back to school shopping”. The girls are signed up for a lot of activities so we should be very busy this fall. I am wanting to sign up to be a “Jewelry Consultant” for either Premier or Lia Sophia. I love jewelry, but I am weighing the pros & cons for the two companies. Work is hectic and busy. I would LOVE to be able to work from home.
Obama??? What are ya’ll thinking??? Eight years ago, I thought, “Why would ANYONE be crazy enough to vote for GW Bush?”, Four years ago, the ridiculous happened again. I guess those same crazy voters are out at the polls voting on the democratic ticket for unfathomable candidates like Obama.
I don’t know how people actually vote for a president based on unrelated moral & religious details. Don’t they realize that the underlying deficiencies of a candidate will break apart the country?
The fact that they have no political issues in common with their candidate besides their stance on gay issues or abortion over-rules any other issues. How we will take care of our veterans, the elderly, and the disabled? The fact that bad diplomacy can create financial disaster and drive up oil prices, drive down the NYSE and the American Dollar has ABSOLUTELY no bearing on how they will vote. As long as gays cannot have civil unions, Long live the morally fit candidate… Absurd!!! I think that we need to think beyond surface issues and really look into what a candidate can do for our country. Rock on Hillary! You’re the one for us!
No… I don’t mean that winter flies by quickly… What I’m talking about is: that my love of winter dwells on the fact that flies&snakes& bugs hibernate during the cold months.
OK, which terrorist mutated our insects into SUPER Flies and dropped them on Northeast Georgia? Whichever candidate that addresses that issue will get a vote from me! I never remember having so many insects in the winter.
So while I should be be packing and organizing, I am running around my home with a fly swatter in each hand swatting and screaming at nature’s anomalies… Where’s the Raid when I need it?
As far as I can remember, I always wanted to live in a small town and raise my children in a pretty little house with a white picket fence. I wanted to know everyone in my town like the soap operas and be involved in all the social events. I wanted my children to go through one school system and keep the same friends throughout their life. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK??? We are settled, we have friends, neighbors, a church that we like… yet as an army spouse, I am plucked from where we are comfortable and replanted. I have no doubt that we will resettle. My children will meet new friends, they will get to like their school, I will get a job, find nice neighbors to gossip with, but before things get too comfortable, we will be plucked again.
Build’s Character?? What if I’m fine with the character I have? Rick is away. The girls & I are managing this move by ourselves. They don’t like to do housework, I am severely ADHD, I’m having trouble staying on task. Tuesday, the movers will be here to evaluate our “STUFF”. I have nervously pulled everything off the shelves, out of the cabinets and into our living area. I have dismantled beds, and taken the books off of every shelf. WHY? I don’t know!!! I just read the mover’s guide and they say to leave the dishes in the cabinets, the books on the shelves, the beds assembled… I’m making a huge mess for them to evaluate.
Do you think that they could fire an army man for having a disorganized, unmove-worthy wife?
I am a bit excited about the move, but seeing the mountains of things in front of me that need to be organized… I feel very overwhelmed. How do you sell a John Deere tractor in 2 weeks in the middle of winter? No one is thinking about lawn care right now… Why can’t I move my farm equipment to the base and do a little farm work in my little 5ft X 10ft back yard? As long as they are plucking and planting, I might as well keep my red-neck farm gear handy. :)
